"As someone who loves Indian food I was overjoyed to find such an authentic, upscale Indian restaurant open up in the cutest part of downtown Madison. I was on a work trip last week and my friend and I went there for lunch. We ordered a mango lassy which was perfect, not too sweet. Then the green chutney, which was ridiculously tasty (I can see why they named the place chutney and co.). I think my favorite was between the butter chicken and the Punjab Saag Paneer. Both were spiced perfectly, enough spice to mean it but not too much to make my nose run.

The other thing about this place is the decor. The ceilings are gorgeous and the wallpaper sets a cozy tone to the room. And it's so clean!!!! I will definitely be going here again. We went during lunch on a work day and the place had a great buzz about it but we didn't have to wait for a table. We'll see how long that lasts as people find out about this place :)

It's a family run restaurant which makes me happy to support it. You can tell a lot of love went into this place. I'm going to take my husband here for dinner, it's a nice, cozy setting for two."

"This is NOT your run of the mill Indian restaurant! The food here is light, flavorful, and so, so good. By far the best salmon I've ever had - it's baked with Indian spices - not too spicy and perfectly cooked through. I will definitely go back for more salmon. It's the BEST!

The chicken makhani is also much better than your standard Indian-style butter chicken. It's lighter (less cream and butter) and much more flavorful. The chicken is shredded, so it's also much neater to eat. It was so good - I kept stealing it from my grandfather's plate.

Finally, do not miss the homemade chutneys. If I could buy them in jars, I would. The mango and tomato chutneys are AMAZING.

Try this place out - you will not regret it!"

"We went to Chutney & Co. for lunch today and were really impressed with the ambience, service, and food. It's a refreshing change to eat at a sophisticated Indian restaurant compared to the run of the mill Indian buffet you find in most places. The food is still authentic, but is presented an upscale and delicate way. It's definitely the best Indian food in Morris county and we'll be sure to be back very soon! Make sure to try the awesome mango chutney, mango lassi, and mushroom pastry:)"

"Just opened! This is the best Indian food I've ever eaten, served by lovely people in an elegant and urbane setting. Mom is in the kitchen, sister, daughter and dad are out front, but there's nothing that feels "mom and pop" about this place. Prices are fair. Lunch was a real treat. May be the best restaurant in the area."
